walters12
Any reports on Waubay or Bitter? Wondering how deep the walleyes and perch are spending most their time currently. Anything thing will be helpful.

Bureaucrat
I spent a couple days on Bitter a few weeks ago. We caught 3 perch in 3 days. We also tried north end of Waubay and didn't produce anything in an afternoon. In all fairness, we didn't have a gps, so we were flying blind. There weren't many houses on either lake, at least as many as last year.
walters12
Im heading out tomorrow morning bright and early. Looks like a perfect weekend. Expecting it to be very busy to say the least. Hoping to get on those school of perch early then afternoon walleyes. Id say it would be about impossible for me to fish without a GPS, gotta love technology! How deep were you guys fishing the perch?
Bureaucrat
We were out in 22 feet. We tried shallower, but found dirtier water and tons of microforage. We suspect they were shrimp down there from what we saw on camera. When we got out deeper where the water was clear, that's where we found fish. Trouble was, all we found were smaller pike and ten inch walleye.
