White vinyl paneling for interior

I want to re-do the inside of my house this summer. Was thinking of putting that white shower bead board up. I'm know they make 1/8 inch thick panels of it, or it also comes with a 1/4 inch OSB backer on it. I'm wanting to use the 1/8 inch panels to cut down on weight. I would use PL-400 adhesive on the studs and white 1 1/4" pole barn screws to fasten it. Anybody think it will warp? Like the idea of the vinyl instead of wood for moisture reasons.

Put the white panel board in my house a couple years ago, make sure you fasten it every couple inches to cut down on warpage...it will warp with all the hot to cold and moisture. Ended up tearing mine out after two seasons

Frabillfish, did you have the vinyl panelling or the cheaper wood paneling? What did you fasten it with?I would think vinyl wouldn't warp if glued to the studs and fastened with pole barn screws.

whats that white plastic stuff they use for exterior ice house applications? I would think that would be perfect....anything Paneling makes me cringe when I think of water getting into it.

Filon is a fiberglass-type siding used on the outside of RV's and some fish houses. Looks really nice. They do typically back it with a plywood or OSB type product, so it is fairly heavy compared to aluminum.

So what would be the best to put on the inside walls to avoid warping? I would like to put something up that is lightweight, doesn't take on moisture, and is white.

White aluminum is your best bet.
