SalmonSlayer
Heading up to True North Outposts on Friday. Lake we're flying into has lakers. Wondering what the best approach is this time of year. Are they still super deep and I should find the bait clouds and jig or troll spoons, or have they started to move shallow? Never fished lakers, (logged many an hour watching vids on youtube though ) and would love to cross it off my species list. Any tackle/rod suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for any help. dcraven
Sorry - you are probably gone already. Fish a River2Sea Diver Vib 80. Mark fish, drop on them, jig for 2 or 3 minutes and move to another pod of fish. 50-100 fow right now.DC
SalmonSlayer
Was able to pick a few up with a dt16 and 30' reef runner. Let out a lot of line and trolled a little faster than normal.
