Conditions In The Bighorn Mountains In November

Recommended Posts

I drew a tag for a buck deer this fall, so I'm pretty pumped! Just wondering if any of you spend time in the Bighorns in the late fall, and if so I'd love any advice on the weather conditions, and info along that line. Thanks!

I'm currently doing a lot of research for a mule deer bow hunt in the Bighorns in Sept. 2014.

From talking to a CO out there and a Nat'l Forest Ranger, snow is usually on the ground by the end of Sept. and that causes the deer and elk to drop off the mountains to the lower elevations.

I'm assuming you got a Unit 25 deer tag?

I thought the rifle seasons only went through mid-October in that area, maybe I'm wrong?

Regardless, I hope you have a great hunt and I'm looking forward to some pics!!
