Everglades report 05/27/13

Recommended Posts

Yup, folks it"s us again. This time of year Mikey and I really try to get out as much as possible. Because pretty soon the bugs and rain really make it almost unbearable in the Glades backcountry. The fishing seems to be actually getting better as we move forward towards the dog days of summer. Snook and Tarpon are all around the mangrove shore lines chasing mullet. It's an awesome sight to see a big Tarpon busting mullet type topwater lures, in the back bays or a Snook pouncing on a lure that's worked just right along a shadowy shoreline. I got a chance to break in my new Penn Battle reel that was a birthday gift from Mikey on a few Snooks. Gotta tell yous it's a very nice reel, and the drag is very smooth. Anyways we shot some pics of the day for memories. Thanks for reading our report!
