Everglades back country report 04/17/13

Recommended Posts

Well it's nice to be back on the water after spending the winter up north. Boy, it was a cold one, glad to be back home. Anyways I got to spend some time with my wife out exploring some new turf in the Everglades. Ya gotta love new areas, ya never know what's around the next corner. The water was warm but very dingy. First priority was to find cleaner water. After that match the hatch, and we were in business. We ran into a small bay which was loaded with baby Poons. Who were happy to play with us. After that my wife landed her first Snook on a lure! The day turned out pretty well, with a grand slam for the boat. Tarpon, Snook, Trout, Redfish, and a couple of Mangrove snappers too. We took some pics of the day for yous to check out. Thanks for reading our report.
