fishing4fun
Just wondering what the ice is doing on the lakes in the Lake Preston area? Thompson, Henry or possibly Dry Lake. Looks like some lakes are getting close. Thanks
quadfisherman
Poinsett had ice on it still when I drove by it on sunday. I've heard people falling through on thompson just walking out there so couldn't be long until ice out.
creepworm
Word on the street is that the northern 1/3 of Thompson is open. I took a drive around the Brookings area and Brush, East 81, and West 81 are roughly 40% open with the part of West 81 to the south of the road wide open. Both Albert and Poinsett are basically entirely ice covered, except for where the heaves were.
mrfish1991
The only open water I have seen on Poinsett is under the bridges. Maybe a total of a football field area of open water and thats it.
fishing4fun
Any more reports? Heard Siani was good to go.
creepworm
As of last week Thursday, the main part of Sinai was open, the bays to the west still ice covered. I would thing that brush, and the 81 ponds would be open, but not sure. I plan on checking things out tomorrow and will report back.
