20lbSloughShark
Basically just stay away from china, unless you just want cheap blanks for painting yourself, and don't forget to replace the split rings with quality ones. I don't think rapala is made in USA but my old spoons are marked finland. There was another good company based in Canada, but I dont remember the name. I think it may have started with "les"? JPenny
You may be referring to the Len Thompson line of spoons. They are great spoons first brought to market over 100 years ago. I did some work with the Len Thompson company a few years ago. They are run by Greg Ballester, who is the great grandson of Len Thompson. Another Canadian company making great spoons is Gibbs Tackle. They are owned by Greg Ballester's brother.
20lbSloughShark
yes, that is the brand I was thinking of, I have not seen any for a long time. I use to have a really big one that looked kind of like a northen. It was probably one one of the first pike I ever caught on a lure. The very first (well the first I really remeber) was on a blue "rooster tail". The very first pike I ever remember catching was on a live sucker minnow.
