sevenmmm
I use to love Trilene XT 4# test until zebra mussels took over my favorite walleye lake. Those things will slice just about anything, but they really do a quick hatchet job on mono. So I then went to all types of non-mono line. Been experimenting with mostly braids. Power pro is ok. Fireline works. This year I am trying the yellow Power Pro ice line and have bought the white Stren Sonic. I am trending more towards high vis lines as my eyes fade away. It is invaluable to be able to see the line jump because a fish has grabbed the bait with momentum towards me. I did catch a 10# walleye on the Power Pro iceline a few days ago! I'd say that's a good sign.
reddog
I have fallen in love with Fireline Tracer braid over the last couple years. While the tracer portion of the line is just a dye, it does hold up fairly well to casting all day, and it is pretty easy to see.
