HDS 2 vs its hummingbird clone?

I had issues getting an accurate speed without a puck on a 788cihd, but was still able to pick up position etc. inside the garage. Humminbird sent me the puck and my issues were solved. You NEED a puck to get the accurate readings. Do a little search and you will see many others having the same issues.

How slow are you talking about having issues?

I only have issues at 0.3mph or less (usually less) on an HDS where it looses direction of travel.

I do a lot of vertical jigging and am usually moving slow, less than 0.3mph, on a rock pile and rarely lose direction unless I slow down to 0.1mph or less for a long time.

on my old x-71 (i think that is what it is) I lost signal a few times and it lagged a LOT when drifting of trolling very slow. In fact I would have to hit turbo to go fast enough to see where I was going on the map.
