Who uses those small electronic depth finders? The Polar Vision or Vexilar LPS-1?

Do they work? Should I spend the money?

i bought the polar vision this year. I really like using it compared to taking out my vexilar fl8, it is a lot easier and quicker and seems to be very accurate. Also the polar vision has an audible fish alarm. If you go to vexilars HSOforum they sell a refurbished Lp1 for around 79.99 compared to 149.99 for the polar vision. Either way to me it is a must have if you fish allot of different lakes.

I use mine all the time. I bought a polar vision on hsolist last winter. it was brand new in the package and I got it for $100.00. I do a lot of pike fishing and I like to use it for marking depth variations to find drop offs. I really haven't used it for markig fish. I just carry my minnow bucket along with me and pur a little bit of water on the ice and check depth. I don't have to drill a bunch of holes and risk spooking the fish. it's a lot easier to carry than my vexilar.
