Seabass77
Hello Folks, I am wondering if anyone here has had any experience with Next Generation Gun Dogs out of Albert Lea, MN. The specialize in Chessies but breed some labs too, which is what I am interested in. I hunt about 15 days a year, mostly waterfowl but will get into upland more with my own dog. I have two small kids at home (6 and 3) and need a good family dog too. My wife is sold on british labs( I am looking at them too) but I want to explore all my options. Thanks, Joe
GSP4ME
my question would be whyis she sold on the British labs?.
Seabass77
She likes the temperament. A two speed dog thats calm at home and can turn it on in the field. To be fair, I am looking for the same thing. I understand you can find these dogs in american breeds too but it seems simpler to find this in the british lines. But like I said, I am willing to consider all the options. We also like the smaller sizes of the british labs.
DaSwede
Try Old Oak Kennels outside Blooming Prairie, MN (about a half hour north of Albert Lea). I have an 8.5 month old British lab from them, and couldn't be happier. Rick is very selective with his breeding, so he always has very good dogs.Shoot me a message if you want more info.
