IA4PATS
I have a friend that is really getting into photography after getting a new canon 60d for a present. She stumped me with a question. She has some pictures that are turning out with a blue tint. It seems to be happening when she is shooting in AV. I wondered if it was a white balance issue. And when I say blue, I mean the whole picture looks like it's blue and white instead of black and white. Thoughts?
Dbl
What is her camera set for in the White Balance setting? Av, Tv, Auto makes no difference in White Balance but what her White Balance setting is set to will. Certain subjects will throw off Auto White Balance as well. An example possibly would help determine the problem.
MN Shutterbug
If she is shooting outdoor snow scenes, she will get a blue tint. Blue is a "cool" color and it's definitely cold out there. Different lighting situations have different color temperatures. You can change the white balance settings in camera or by shooting in raw and changing white balance during editing. If the pics were shot jpeg only, you can still remove the blue cast during post processing. Like Dan mentioned, an example might help. IA4PATS
I pointed her to this forum to see if she find some help. There is so much knowledge here. I will see if she can post some pictures. I didn't look at the pictures very long, but the one I saw looked like a picture that was printed and all other colors but blue had ran out. Thanks for helping. I will try to get her to join up and post some pictures.
