MN BassFisher
I have always been happy with PP that I haven't really tried anything else. I really need to try some 832 this summer though!

Stick in Mud
Power Pro or Suffix, whichever I can find on sale.
Nhamm
For those who use nanofil how is the sink factor on that stuff? Thinking of putting it on my pitching jigs and swimbaits rod but I like how flouro sinks and seems to keep a straighter line to feel bites. TruthWalleyes
I see no reason to switch away from Power Pro. I use it anywhere from 6# to 80#. With the exception of catfish/sturgeon, i've always got either 6# or 10# Pline Flourocarbon as a leader tied on with a Uni-Uni knot.
deerminator
This is a great thread and never having used braid, I am learning a lot from it. One question I would have, though, is do you tie the braid right onto your reel or do you start with a little mono to prevent slip and then tie it to the braid? Some articles I was reading say to do this.I was thinking of using fluoro leaders as well this year, so in that case you'd go a little mono - lots of braid - a short fluoro leader? A trifecta?! delcecchi
A strip of some sort of tape, masking, duct, probably even black electrical, on the spool will stop slipping.
delmuts
I run the "trifecta". I know several people that use tape with good results also. I use an albright( sp?) knot to connect the different lines together. I used to use back to back uni knots,( with great results!) but feel the albright is a smaller knot.
