Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

The best I have found are the Montana Black Gold. I've got a 5 pin with the ascent mount and I would definitely get another one. The fiber is super bright and very solid.

HHA Single Pin slider.

Works great and it looks nice on the HeliM... wink

I do alot af target shooting, 3D's and long distance shooting, so I wanted alot of adjustability.

When hunting I pretty much leave it set to 27 yards and with the Helim I shoot I am good from 10-35 yards with only a couple of inches of variance.

So many great sights available! I'd pick one that has tooless adjustment, wrapped fiber optic, protected pins, and accepts a light (if you do much blind hunting.) I'm a long time HHA user myself, but there are several other manufactures that have great sights I'd be proud to own. Determine how many pins you want, diameter, cost, etc and start your search.

Sights are so subjective, its hard to choose based on opinions of posters. There are many great sight companies, and many different configurations, and options for wrapped pins, etc. Currently I am shooting a 7-pin SpotHogg that I custom selected pin size, color and configuration (and it accepts a variable power sight light that I occasionally use). I have no complaints.

If I were buying today, I'd maybe look into the IQ sight(s). I like the concept and idea of eliminating torque and peep reliance. Otherwise, I like the SpotHogg.

I love my IQ sight because I can shoot without a peep. Hate the peep!

Without a peep installed I can shoot in any light and don't have to worry about peep rotation or a rubber band aimed at my eye.

I had a Montana Black Gold several years ago and the pins would strip out if I tightened them too much. If I didn't tighten them, the pin would eventually work loose. I called them and all they would tell me is not to tighten them too much. I ended up throwing it in the garbage and bought a Tru Glo and haven't looked back.

    • BBD!  More to come...
    • Bought from private seller; my mistake should have been one thing to check; there is no wiggling it at all, it’s frozen in there tried torching it to no avail; put everything back together hoping I could grease and crank up and down but the zerk keeps coming off, and now it doesn’t lower at all; will have to bite the bar and bring it in
    • There is at least double the number to the left side They roost 150 yards from where my blind is 123 congrats on the bird
    • The whole flock skirted me this morning, never coming closer than 100 yds.  Stayed in the landowners back yard all morning before heading to parts unknown. Counted 7 longbeards in the bunch. Headed back now. I'm sure my blind will be surrounded when I get there. Good luck guys.
    • Holy Moses how far is that from where you are hunting? There's more strutters in that picture than I see in five years.
    •   I think they're going to be late this year
    • Well they were all n the other side of the brook and they come over to my side often, but not this morning. I wanted to check so I drove over there. Haha I was right dirty birds and the property owner does not anyone hunt there.  Maybe tomorrow I can sweet talk one of them to come over. I think a lot of hunters are waiting for later seasons. I checked a couple public land spots and no people tracks or truck tracks.
    • lots of gobbling this morning.  Birds seem to be staying in fairly tight area of woods so far this morning. They are near, but I cant seem to talk the hens over.  Had a nice hollering match earlier, was fun, though not productive. 3 Jakes came onto my lone upright hen decoy about 8am.  They turned out to be my test birds.  First year with the bow so,  tested what I could get away with, drawing the bow.  They didnt like it!  Birds stiĺl talking here.
    • Besides the gobbles i heard in the morning nothing is moving out here! Besides 11 deer pheasant and a coyote that was 10 yard out from getting one in his boilwrmaker!
