strikemaster lazer pro vs honda

I have had the liberty to own both this year. I started with the Honda.

+ love how quiet it was, had power through the 12 inches of ice, no mixing of fuel, light weight, cuts like a champ, low fuel consumption, and encapsulated oil.

- The model I had was a very cold starter. This was my first 4 stroke and i wasn't happy. It became the running joke on how many pulls it would take to start when it was -17 degree. It took 32 pulls. average of 15-20 when it was below zero. Also when cold it would die when you would release after full throttle. This would stop after the first few holes.

The Solo Lazer Pro: I currently own the 10" 3hp model

+ Power!, cuts like a champ, lighter weight 28lbs, good on fuel, and easy starting in cold MN temps.

- Mixing fuel, Loud!

I like both models but I feel safe with my 2 stroke. Plus i love the 10" hole
