wobbly auger

I have a strikemaster lazer lite and it wobbles when i'm drilling holes. Does anyone have the same problem? Whats wrong and how do i fix it? I checked the connection between the motor and drill with L-wrench and it's tight but the part closer to the motor is loose. I don't remember it being like that. I could also be wrong. Any ideas? Drilling was a pain last weekend. I switched the the blade tonight.

Sounds like the bushings is wore out. But you would have had to drill a lot of holes to wear that out. Easy to replace but you would need to order it.

I bought it used 3yrs ago in good condition. I took it to the shop when I bought it and haven't brought it in ever since. I would say I drill about 10+ holes in a weekend. I like to hole hop a lot. I did a search and only found one similar issue on a different forum. Someone had mentioned the same thing. I'm guessing the part has to be ordered from strikemaster. Would it be easy to do it myself or take it in?

You should be able to do it your self the special tool would be a snap ring pliers. But it's also really quick to do if a shop does it, it should nt cost to much.
