marcum woes

hi i bought a vx 1 pro for my wife a couple weeks ago. it was noisy on advice from here i returned it. after this week of using this one. the screen constantly moves back and forth i called marcum they said its out of tune. also when i got it the arm was broken. they said to return it to the store called them they didnt have one so i drove to another store about 40 miles away that had it. this one seems ok also i have another marcum vx 1 never had a problem. bad luck or did they all get dropped or did something change just bummed out my wife loves having her own

If they are not digital you can expect noise that is for sure, Vex usually louder than marcum but both have the spinning brushes inside...that's how they roll! As long as it marks depth and fish just gonna have to deal with it and be thankful the other one is quieter.

just tried the new one next to my old one its very loud compared to the old one should i send it in or just use it.
Even though its new, is the battery fully charged? Swap the battery from your "old" one to the new and retry.

The ONLY time I ever notice noise from mine is when the battery is low or bad. Granted mine isnt a VX1, but still worth ruling out the charge as an issue.
