I am thinking of buying one of these. It would be for ice fishing and trapping off trail, and a little trail riding. The newest sled I have owned was a 97 Polaris. So dont know anything about these. Would this be a good choice for fishing and trapping off trail? Does anyone own one good/bad things? The main reason I am looking at this particular sled is the marked down price right now. Thanks, Todd

my mom and dad bought a pair of these, 2011 models i believe. They are a different ride than the older sleds, that's for sure. You sit up higher and have to "ride" them more when going slow in deep snow or ditches. Flat groomed trails are what they were made for and they do very well pulling the portable around the lake. They aren't speed demons by any stretch of the imagination but they get off the line pretty quick. For ice fishing they work great, for trapping off the trail it'll do just fine, just be prepared to use your body to steer the thing.
