Old Coleman heaters

Anyone out there know if it's safe too use the old style coleman catalytic heaters in a portable shelter?

I used those heateres in portables for years , they worked just fine. I would make sure when using any heater that there is enough ventilation in your portable. I think the newer heaters are problably more efficient, but it's better then having no heat at all. Good luck fishing!

I just got one of those off HSOList for next to nothing, and have use it in a portable just fine in fact it dosn't even bother my eyes or throat the way propane dose but it dosn't have enough btu for cold days. The other thing is it's radiant heat instead of semi force air like a buddy heater so you can't really direct the heat towards or away from you.
