basssmasher*
I had to go to Brookings for my work today and went through Clear lake heading back to MN, I took a turn east and went by a lake Allie just NE of Clear Lake. Just wondering whats in it fish wise and is it fishable from shore? what could I expect to catch? There was 1 boat out there on the southeastern part of the lake today, but from my observation, (on the north shore) It looked clear and shallow.. Thanks for any info!! carpshooterdeluxe
Must have been Lake Alice. I've ice fished up there before, pike on tip-ups. Can be decent walleye and perch in there too; not sure when the last winterkill would have been. you can fish from the boat ramp and I think there is some state land along the shore as well. Another lake in the area that may be a better fishery would be Cochrane.GFP info for lake Alice:http://gfp.sd.gov/fishing-boating/tacklebox/lake-surveys/northeast-lakes/docs/Alice%282010%29.pdf
