New Grooved roads. Hate-um!

Well as long as I'm on a roll today with bike riding issues.

I really hate the newer concrete grooved roads they are starting to put down more often! It adds just enough little wobble to make you feel like something is wrong with the bike like a low tire or you had to much at the last pit stop!! eek My son works for the DOT and he gets to hear my thoughts on their new ideas! wink

just as bad are the rumble strips in the middle of the road at intersections. I realize that some of them stop in the middle of the intersections so there's continuous pavement but not all. Can make for a hairy ride when people aren't paying attention and breathing down your back.

Speaking of which, I was waiting for oncoming traffic to come by our local school a couple weeks back when a car came racing up behind me and at the last minute swerved to miss me, nearly taking off the bag on the right side of the bike. eekmad

Hey LEP...Put a Whelen LED programable strobe brake light on the back of your Connie. Believe me, people behind you will see you in plenty of time. A few of us with our riding club have them on our bikes and love them. Just google Whelen.

Just some info, I bought one of the listed modules and a LED brake bulb and installed in in the Suzi F. Not as bright in the day time very attractive later in the day.
