Random guy
Here on Upper Red Lake out of the Hillman road we use a simple piece of flat steel. 1/4" thick, 12 feet wide and 30 feet long to spread out the load. It flexes with the ice as it changes up and down yet spreads the load out. We have tried channel iron and other elaborate tricks but the good hunk of flat steal still works the best. Actually has been working for about 40 years now.
Paul Waldowski
We kind of use the same thing. A 10' wide by 32' long, 2 inch thick piece of manufactured plywood that serves the same purpose.
GoneFish'n71
I think I'm starting to get it. I assume you cut the ridge down and then bridge it? Anyone have pictures?
