cbrooks
The real trophy Bison wants is in Grand Forks ...only kidding. Good for the Bison. They got rob the year before in the quarterfinals against Eastern Wash who went on to win it all.
TylerS
I'm sorry. Even though they were representing our fine state, I could not in good faith root for the blundering herd. Good for them for beating Sam Houston state, though (whoever they are...)
LMITOUT
It appears that while the institution from Fargo was winning a national championship, the one up the road was browsing costume shops looking for a new mascot. GO BISON! <----------
cbrooks
I guess when you win your first D1 championship its a special moment. UND has been lucky enough to get there first in 1959 and has been piling them on since then. Check out this article from a writer at the forum who wrote this http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/226167/goup/Sports/ The Sioux nickname will never go away
Scoot
Congrats to the Bison! I don't really see how the Sioux fit in this post in any way. The Bison won the national championship, the two teams no longer play each other, the Sioux aren't even the Sioux... maybe it's time to move on fellas... Again, congrats to the Bison on some fine football- the defense really stepped up to the plate! P.S. cbrooks, I think you're confused-- this was a post about REAL sports. Comparing winning a hockey title vs. a football title is like comparing winning a coin flip to winning the lottery.

That's funny...I always assumed the only reason people watched football was to waste time until hockey season started
