Fishing Guide-- Metro Area?

dtcm

Recommended Posts

I am relatively new to ice fishing and despite my best efforts am having a hard time finding the right lake, at the right time, with the right presentation. Getting frustrated to say the least. Anyone know of, a Guide in the metro area that might be able to show me the ropes? I am not sure I can afford it but I thought it might be worth checking in to.

A couple questions. Do you have a flasher? A gas auger? Most of the time it is just a matter of punching a bunch of holes until you locate some fish. Are you just looking for some pannies? Most lakes in the metro are going to provide you the opportunity the ice some fish. My best advice is to go to your local lake and try punching some holes just away from the large shanty town. Graph some fish and go to town. The lake I have been fishing the most lately the shanty town is sitting in 8-10 feet of water. I have been setting up in 20-30 fow and hammering the pannies.

Good Luck.
