eyeowegian
Any word on the ice conditions on Storm Lake or around the Great Lakes area?
JIvers
Heard some second-hand reports that people were out on Angler Bay and the smaller lakes up that way before the snow hit, but that is all hearsay.
Mr.Seaguar
Lots of safe ice in the Okoboji area. Not big lakes but small lakes, bays, marinas are where people are fishing. Good Luck
eyeowegian
Heard from someone today that there was a report around templar park on Big Spirit. Guy fished last couple of hours till dark, cought some small eyes and 2 12" perch. Second hand info tho so take it for what its worth. Said there was 4-5 inches of ice. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted March 22, 2011 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted March 22, 2011 Ice conditions are poor over most of the lake, especially around the shoreline. The marina is completely open. There have been reports of anglers catching walleye in the marina at Storm Lake.

Jason_Halfen
On April 16th the Cedar Valley walleye trail will be there. Then on Sunday the 17th The Citizen First National Bank walleye battle will be held. Check out fishingminnesota under walleye for more info. I'll be there for both. My favorite way to open the tournament season is a full weekend on Storm.
gloomiseye
Sounds like the bite is on fire there. Ton of people have been fishing there though, hopefully all the pressure doesnt kill it like it did to Clear Lake a couple of years ago. gloomiseye
How did your tourny go? Sounds like it was a tough bite on Sunday, as i heard it only took 7lbs to win it.
