jdime
I am headed up north in a couple weeks. Hoping to find grouse and rabbit for a game soup at Christmas. I have only hunted deer and pheasant in the past. The hares up north seem to have a good amount of meat on them. Any advice on how or where to hunt them? JBar
I've never personaly went hunting for rabbits but have caught many with snares made of picture wire find a trail and set up a snare about 2" to 3" off the ground. I would bet though if a guy would walk the trails slow you'd run into a few. Someone on here will have some more helpfull info on hunting them. but the snares work well. Good luck!! HooknHorns
I love hunting rabbits. I usually partner up and go to some bush piles that I know of or abandoned farms. Not too familiar with hunting up north snowshoes but, trying evergreen swamps cant be a bad idea.
Fins-n-feathers
The young thick poplar usually hold some. Like Hooknhorns said, partner up and drive and have one guy walking through and the other waiting at the end.
