Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

HSO/FM Winter 2010/2011 Photography GTG

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and gals hopefully thanksgiving has treated you all well and everyone has full bellies now for a couple days. The last couple of weeks as the weather has been a changin' a GTG has been on my mind. Last year we had a decent turnout and it was nice to put some names with faces. I know I have read recently that at least one maybe more members here on this board will not be putting feeding stations out in the bog due in part to the problems that occurred last year. Is it a possibility we could still have an outing out there?? There obviously are many other places to met up as well. North shore state parks, around Ely is a beautiful area and you never know who may show their faces, ect. Just trying to start up a thread and see if there is interest and maybe throw out a few areas to go.

Not sure about dates as its tough around the holidays and I am finishing up my 5th and final year of college in Wisconsin so that restricts me some but if I cant the show will still go on without my presence. The best dates for me is between Christmas and New years.

I am always up for another gathering and dates aren't really a big issue with me. I am sure the bog will be just as good as any other year even with out some of the feeders. We may be in for a good winter finch season too. I have seen large flocks of them on my journeys.

Jeremy are you still shooting a 30D and if so do you have a battery grip? I have mine laying around along with two batteries. I'll give you a great deal on them if you want them.

Jeremy

I am up for a GTG. Might just look around the bog sometime this week. The semester is winding down and the lakes are not ready to fish.

Hey All - I just want to let all of you know that the photo GTG is a great day! As Jeremy said it was fun to put some faces to names we see here often and a great opportunity to learn from each other. I highly recommend it.

That being said, I'm not sure I can make it this year - a new grandbaby due sometime during the holidays, commitments to babysit and some travel in January, etc. (being retired is SO busy smile ).

Happy holidays to all of you - drive safely, enjoy the season!

I'd be up for one. Probably needs to happen yet in December, since my Saturdays likely will be gone baby gone once laker season starts.

Shoot one out there, Jason, and we can go from there. Saturday or Sunday Jan. 8 or 9 is workable for me at this point, but what do others have going on?

So far so good. Let's see who else might have conflicts. Come Jan. 15, I pretty much have to leave all my weekends open for lake trout.

Gosh dang! Looks like if the dates are the 8 or 9 I wont be able to make it up. I have to take a winter class to be able to graduate this spring. My time home is quite short and the only time I could make it up would be new years eve (Friday December 31) or Monday January 3. If I can't make it for the gtg, but I still want to come "up north" anyone have a little free time to go on a photo drive?
