Crow Hunter
Motley Man, as of now I am planning to go up to my land a few miles north of Staples on Friday for the muzzleloader season, but if a ton of snow falls I may not be able to get back into it. If you get a chance tomorrow afternoon or evening to post how much snow fell in that area, I would appreciate it. Happy Thanksgiving!Crow Hunter
motley man
As of 7:22PM have about 3-4 inches. Wet with ice under it on ground. Roads sloppy and side roads slippery. Woods are covered with ice, so it's crunchy & slippery walking. But I think the critters will be moving, doesn't do much for ice on lakes. Heard it's flooding the ice on the lakes. If you have 4 wheel drive, use it on the woods trails and go slow as not to slip into a tree. Watch the side dirt roads and the black tops that don't get salted. Have a great hunt & be safe. Ufatz
Over here near Tumuli we have about 2" snow, stiff little breeze and it is -9 at 0825. I wouldn't go out there for a ten pound prime rib let alone some scrawny ol' deer. But hey! that's just me. Ya'll have fun out there and be careful.
