Fish Trap II cover

10 posts in this topic

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement cover for my Trap II ? I stopped in at USL in Plymouth and they are out for several weeks.

Are there any aftermarket ones?

Hey, I've got an extra brand-new aftermarket cover that I bought for my guide. It would fit yours. It's brand new, never been used. I will be in the metro also on saturday. Give me a holler at kjschneides@astound.net.

Try Gander Mountain. I saw some out at the Woodbury store a few weeks ago.

Any place that sells Traps will stock the covers. The Guide cover fits the Trap II. Costs about $40. I'd get out the phone book and call around. Should be someone whose got 'em.

When I say cover I mean the entire canvas not a cover when it's packed up.

If you have the old canvas any canvas shop can make you an exact copy. They'll give you better canvas too.

Thats right Fourplay,
I was out at canvas craft in Ramsey this week. Real nice people and willing to work with you. just disassemble the frame and bring the canvas in. I would guess it will be around $100.00 or a little more but give them a call. There in the yellow pages.

SS: Thanks for the clarification. USL says the Guide tent will fit a Trap II frame, but it'll be just a little loose. And who has the $170 laying around, I ask you?

If you get a shop to make one, like the other guys say to do, maybe they have something tougher than canvas, something me like that new ice armor fabric. Also, they could use a heavier weight canvas or double up a the lightweight stuff, which would add weathertightness and not add a whole lot of weight.

Just my 2c

I broke down and got an Eskimo III at Fleet Farm. They list for $399.00 but Fleet is selling them for $319.00. They aren't displayed at the Brooklyn Park location but the have 11 or so in the warehouse.

I'll probably get a canvas from usl then sell the trap II.

Thanks for the replys.

If you buy the tent for $170, you may not get your money out of the Trap II. frown.gif

    • We spent the past week in Door County Wisconsin on vacation with 4 other couples and our campers. I had it all lined up for 6 members of our group to go out on a chartered fishing trip in the early morning of Thursday. The charter called me at 8:00 Wed. evening to inform me that the boat had broken down and wouldn't be fixed until later that day and there were no available re-scheduling opportunities until Monday.    GGGRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!
    • Well looks like the draft came and went without much fireworks, sounds like Fletcher didn't like any of the offers so he is going to wait to make a move. Hard to see us fitting under the cap or filling out a full team without moving Scandella or Pommers so we will see what happens.

Of course drafting from the 3rd round on doesn't lead to many super exciting players but it sound like we got a couple midgets with some skill and several projects. Our big off season move might have been keeping everyone through expansion.
    • My only concern is the timing of all of this. We seem to be loading up for a run in the next year or two but the Warriors are still sitting there stacked beyond belief.  Can we add enough and develop our young guys enough to be a legit threat to the Warriors.  Lebron, Irving, and Love barely made the Warriors break a sweat in the finals.  I'd like to see them time their final acquisitions to correspond with the end of the Warriors run.
    • Maybe line up all the non-compliant VW's and gas 'em all out with diesel fumes.
    • Glad Lavine is gone! Added nothing but slam dunks to the team. I've been out of town for the past week, so I was very delighted to hear about this trade today.
