Northern Lights!!!

Recommended Posts

The last two years have been down years in cyclical sunspot activity, and it's the sunspots/coronal ejection that produce our solar wind, in turn producing the aurora when those charge particles hit our atmosphere. As Paul said, summer auroras can be just as pretty as winter ones.

Hopefully the cycle is back on an upswing. I've been wanting to do more aurora photography. Sounds like it's time to resubscribe to one of those aurora alert e-mail services.
