My friend speared a nice 3 to 4 pound nothern today, 20 minutes later he cleans it. inside the belly is a 6inch nothern, he shows it to his wife, the fish moves!!! he placed it in some water and away it goes!! we put put it back in the lake. that was interesting!!

I've actually seen plenty of frogs in speared pike, mostly sunfish though and a few crappies. As much as people talk about perch being forage, I think I've only seen maybe two inside a pike stomach. The perch decoy works well though.

A little off topic but my dad used to catch alot of northerns in the summer using a big bobber and a leopard frog hooked throught he lips.

I'd be curious on the frog decoy to. I have seen some that are red and white that look really cool.
