Phooj Posted January 11, 2010 Share Posted January 11, 2010 Has anyone ice fish at the boot lakes in washington county? i was thinking about it but i wasnt sure its west of sqaure lake , you can google maps it to under: East boot lake or west boot lake. anyone who has infomation let me know. if there is icefishing there is motor auger allowed? fisherman-andy Posted January 11, 2010 Share Posted January 11, 2010 Heavy algae blooms and weed growth during the summer due to low water levels make it poor fishing in winter. Its less weedy deeper. I have tried ice fishing it the last couple years and to be honest I say skip it. There are better lakes in the area. If you want to fish it try it in the Spring.
