CNY Tim
My wife made a lemon baked chicken for dinner yesterday and it was delicoius as usual. So when Rosa took it out of the oven I began carving the bird up for the family. Peanut our familiy dog was right under my feet waiting for an opportune drop while I was slicing the bird. This chicken had one of those "white pop-up plastic timers" in it and when I removed it to place it in the garbage I missed the can and peanut snapped it up and swallowed it point going down first. Rosa and I were worried as a couple hours passed and Peanut passed nothing but thankfully at 1:30 a.m. peanut upchucked it out. Phew.. That was a close one... Pman
Shoulda tried the heimlich maneuver Glad to hear everything turned out ok. I did the heimlich on some jumbos today - I'll post about my good fortunes later today. If I can figure out how to post a picture I'll do that to or maybe Tim can do it for me. Pman
Tim - too funny we had roasted chicken yesterday also (perdue ovenstuffers were on sale). Once again, glad to hear the pooch was ok. I remember a couple of years ago with my loyal companion pounced on and swallowed a peach pit even before I was aware the darn thing dropped. We didn't know what to do, called the vet, etc. and thank god he barfed it up. I'll try to call you tomorrow for a quick lesson on picture posting. And oh yeah, that friggin Marcum zoom is awesome. Thanks for reminding me that I have that feature and how to use it. Pretty simple once you do it once or twice.
