Walleyes and White bass

Recommended Posts

I assume you are talking about Devils Lake.

The walleyes are always biting, they may not be were the fisherman expect...at the community holes which always attract more fisherman than fish. But there are out there somewhere.

White bass become susceptable in late May or early June when they go to the spots that fisherman expect them. White bass will congregate around current sometime in the spring so if there is current that is where they will be. If there is no current one has to search more and will not find them as stacked. They will go to shallow humps or flats or near shorelines.

They walleyes should be in full swing for that time. For the white bass, we found them a week before memorial day last year. Found a little bay that was 12 degrees warmer than the rest of the lake and hammered everything under the sun. We must have caught 300 or so. Every single cast!! They were in there so thick, just for the fun on it I tied on a popper and watched them explode on it. GOOD LUCK!
