Dark Cloud
The runners came in today and they look great! Much lighter than I thought. US plastics, Grainger, and numerous others have it. Most call it "rectangular bar". I went with McMaster-Carr, they cut to length. When searching "UHMW" I also found it in industrial tape form. Which got me to thinking, why not put a coating on that area between the runners. If ice dont stick to this stuff? Whenever the trap was a super bear to drag it was caused by cold temps and fluffy snow building up in that area. Just a thought...

That is a good idea DC and instead of putting all those holes in the bottom of the sled why cant you take the main runners one bolt in front and one in the back.In between the two bolts use heavy duty 3m double sided tape that $hit is tough it holds up in all types of weather.
