Ice Leaders Pro Challenge

Recommended Posts

Hey fellow anglers,
On Feb 17th, Fishing Minnesota will be hosting the first annual Ice Leaders Pro Challenge on Mille Lacs Lake. The event will be held starting at 9am from Mac’s Twin Bay and will end at 4pm.
Everyone is encouraged to attend.
The cost will be $5 per person and trophies along with prize money will be awarded to the winners. The total prize money will be determined by the number of participants.
This will be more of a fun event than anything else, so please make arrangements to attend. A list of the rules are as follows-

Rules For Multi-Species Ice Fishing Contest

1) Entrants will be paired into groups of two (2) if there is an odd number, one group will have three (3).

2) Entrant with last name beginning closest to the letter A will get his/her choice of spot to fish first. If the other entrant so chooses, after the mid-way point of the tourney, both entrants must move to the second entrants spot of choice. In event of a team that consists of 3 participants, the time will be divided into thirds.

3) Both entrants must fish within 200 feet of each other.

4) All contestants must be back to the tourney headquarters by the time specified or face disqualification.

5) Entrants may fish anywhere on the lake, however, entrants will not be allowed to leave lake surface in order to reach another portion of the lake or to return to tournament headquarters by deadline. All vehicles must leave from the starting point.

6) One (1) legal limit of fish may be registered by each entrant.

7) Scores will be kept on the official score sheet which will be handed out at the beginning of the tourney.

8) Fish must be immediately measured, scored by the opposite entrant, and then immediately released.

9) Fish will be measured with mouth CLOSED and tail PINCHED.

10) Fish that are scored MUST remain on the score sheet. No score “Culling”. When a fish is caught, the entrant must decide weather or not to score the fish or release it without being scored in hopes of catching a larger fish.
