College To Pro- Success or Flops?

Anyone out there have thoughts on some of these great college players and whether or not they can make it in the NFL after their college days are over?

In particular, Tim Tebow and our own Eric Decker?

After watching tonights game, Decker could make a good tight end in the NFL.

I've heard Tebow wouldn't pursue a QB position in the NFL. If I remember right, he'd rather be a RB. A decision like that could be the difference of whether or not he would last in the NFL, let alone make it there.

I don't disagree LMIT. A past supervisor of mine showed me an article after the championship last year that said Tebow isn't interested in being a QB in the NFL.

Not really, because if he was a WI or IA player you'd blast him left and right. The only reason he was considered in this discussion is because he's a Gopher, or as stated in the original post "our own". And then to put him in the same sentence as Tebow? Baahahahahahaha.

People need to realize Gopher players are typically a scale or two below the national talent level.

And then in the pre-game Sam Maresh's father praises the overpaid cheerleader Brewster that he is "closing the borders" and recruiting more MN players? Good luck with that!

He will not be a QB in the NFL......he doesn't have the PASSING skills to be a qb, especially not in the nfl!!! He may make a good fullback though, although i don't think he could handle the punishment! He will be a draft BUST for whoever drafts him!

Tebow definetly has the heart but does not have the skill to play football PROFESSIONALLY as a QB!!!

Granted, Tebows passing yardage has dropped since '07 (his best year). He's only projected to throw for 2256 this year. But most of that I attribute to the play calling and how the coaching staff are using him.

And we are talking about playing pro ball against PROFESSIONAL cornerbacks, lineman, and linebackers!!! He does not stand a chance!!

I don't see where you think that Tebow would be any less durable at QB at a professional level than any other QB currently in the NFL.

His decision making skills against NFL caliber players will make him look bad! Tebow relies on his scrambling skills to allow him to pass the ball, in the nfl those scramblings skills will not be as good as the defenses are 100 times better and more aggresive! Just speculation but I just don't see how people could think that he will be a good qb in the pro's!!
