Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

College To Pro- Success or Flops?

Recommended Posts

Anyone out there have thoughts on some of these great college players and whether or not they can make it in the NFL after their college days are over?

In particular, Tim Tebow and our own Eric Decker?

After watching tonights game, Decker could make a good tight end in the NFL.

I've heard Tebow wouldn't pursue a QB position in the NFL. If I remember right, he'd rather be a RB. A decision like that could be the difference of whether or not he would last in the NFL, let alone make it there.

Wasn't Bobby Wade a "great possession receiver"?

I believe he's unemployed now.

Take off the "he's one of us" glasses before judging. Decker may be a slot receiver if he's lucky.

Exactly, a possession receiver! He runs solid routes and has a great possession receiver body and can take hits!!!

The glasses comment was pretty stupid by you, if you watch college football you would see that he is definetly a good possession reciever and not affraid to take a hit and hang on to the ball!

You like your little cheap shots don't ya??? haha

No team would draft him and use him as RB. That's ridiculous.

Tebow should be a premier QB in the NFL.

I don't disagree LMIT. A past supervisor of mine showed me an article after the championship last year that said Tebow isn't interested in being a QB in the NFL.

Not really, because if he was a WI or IA player you'd blast him left and right. The only reason he was considered in this discussion is because he's a Gopher, or as stated in the original post "our own". sick And then to put him in the same sentence as Tebow? Baahahahahahaha.

People need to realize Gopher players are typically a scale or two below the national talent level.

And then in the pre-game Sam Maresh's father praises the overpaid cheerleader Brewster that he is "closing the borders" and recruiting more MN players? Good luck with that!

He will not be a QB in the NFL......he doesn't have the PASSING skills to be a qb, especially not in the nfl!!! He may make a good fullback though, although i don't think he could handle the punishment! He will be a draft BUST for whoever drafts him!

Decker will be a MUCH better professional player than tebow will!!! Tebow in the same sentence as decker as far as being a professional baller....BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! good one!

Not much sense taking this conversation any further after that statement. Wow. Somebody's been drinking the Brewster lemonade.

Granted, Tebows passing yardage has dropped since '07 (his best year). He's only projected to throw for 2256 this year. But most of that I attribute to the play calling and how the coaching staff are using him.

I don't see where you think that Tebow would be any less durable at QB at a professional level than any other QB currently in the NFL. smirk

His decision making skills against NFL caliber players will make him look bad! Tebow relies on his scrambling skills to allow him to pass the ball, in the nfl those scramblings skills will not be as good as the defenses are 100 times better and more aggresive! Just speculation but I just don't see how people could think that he will be a good qb in the pro's!!

    • I have a Minnkota 12V bow mount trolling motor but need a foot pedal as mine isn't reliable and they discontinued the product.  The connection of the cord is a little over an inch and oval in shape.  Thank you!
    • The wife and I have different tastes so I usually use an off the shelf prime rib rub and finish up with coarse ground salt and pepper. There are lots of great rub recipes out on the net depending on your taste and company
    • Good catch of the actions and reactions of the walleyes down there.
    • Nice catch for your little boy!
    • Drumming at night.  Did you go after them with you burlap bag and flashlight?
    • The more i research there seems to be a consensus that there is not a reasonably priced inline reel on the market worth the price tag.  Along those lines i dont recall too many of the guys making a living in the industry using them, even though a few promote them.  Think mr genz, he has his name on an inline but i dont recall any youtube footage of him using one.
    • I was sleeping in the topper of my truck two weeks ago and it was *thump....... thump........thumpity thumpity* all night long.  Maybe it's the yearlings just figuring stuff out and finding themselves? Young males thinking they are all that?
    • This looks promising.  Usually have the little guys but a little more age in these two.
    • I’ve heard drumming deep into the summer when I was out trout fishing. I thought that was a little odd. It’s one of the nicest sounds to come out of the woods though, so if they do it year round, I’ll take it!
    • Fall colors are now peaking in far northwestern Wisconsin and throughout the central part of the state including the Door County area, according to the Department of Tourism's Fall Color Report. Fall colors are now past peak in about a dozen north central counties and leaves are dropping rapidlyFall colors are now peaking in Door County. Photo from Oct. 19 from atop "Old Baldy" sand dune at Whtiefish Dunes State Park.Photo Credit: DNRMuch needed rain in the last week finally spurred on the fall Lake Michigan tributary salmon runs. The chinook spawn is going strong, with a variety of baits and methods seeing success. The chinook spawn is in full swing along Door County with salmon spotted in most marinas and in many area creeks. In the Kewaunee harbor, salmon can be seen jumping regularly and have been stacking up in corners in force and numbers, and anglers are having success with both spoons and crankbaits. Fish have been so thick at times that anglers have foul-hooked more than they have had strike. The salmon spawn is also in full force in the East and West Twin, Manitowoc, Branch and Ahnapee rivers. Chinook salmon are the most common catch but a few coho are also being caught. In southern tributaries, those fishing the Sheboygan River reported most of the success from chinook and coho salmon along with a few brown trout. At Sauk Creek a few chinook were landed on flies and spoons. On the Root River were chinook the majority of anglers targeting and seeing success upstream of the steelhead facility and fishing with egg flies. .
