Rippinlip
Great deer everyone, hope to be posting here soon with either my wifes or mine or if we are lucky enough maybe both.
st.crioxfishin
Some awesome bucks on here everyone! Here is one that I took on public land this morning down in Iowa where I go to school. Not the biggest rack, but I couldn't pass on the droptine!
Lunker
Wow, that is a lengthy drop-tine. Nice deer everybody. Here is my first bow deer, a doe taken in Itasca county in late October. Shot at 30-35 yards over an alfalfa field at last light. She jumped the string a bit and I hit her high in the back, but bled out very quickly and within 100 yards. No trophy, but will hit the pan just right.
DonBo
StCroix, great droptine! Looks like a beast of a deer. You get a weight on that bad boy?Lunker, congrats on your first bow kill! What a rush huh?Lot's of great deer here...congrats to all.
Joe15
St.croix is that a mission eliminator? Very nice deer by the way...huge drop!
st.crioxfishin
DonBo: it was a big bodied deer, we didn't get an official weight on it, but I do know that me and my buddy had to take several "breathers" while only dragging it about 70 yds!Joe15: Yes, thats a mission eliminator. I just got it this fall and couldn't be more happy with it.

sticknstring
Way to go fellas. That's an impressive drop - longest tine.
bigbucks
Congrats on the first bow deer.Congrats on the beast with the long drop tine. If I ever see a drop tine & I have a shot it's going down, I don't care how big it is.
Steve Foss
Drop tines are just cool, IMO. I drool over monster racks like anyone else, though I am basically a meat hunter, but those drop tines add a lot of character to a rack.Good job on the hunting and the pics, folks! bigbucks
Ever think it's just your year? We were rifle hunting last Friday as a party & one person shot at a deer. Of all the people to get a big one it came by me, after I'd already shot a big one the previous Friday with my bow. Nobody really minded giving up their tag for this one though. Not a monster, but too nice for me to pass up. It would have been my biggest ever, except for last week, though it's a totally different type of rack. This has a full 18" spread. A main frame 9 with about a 1" sticker on the brow tine of his 5 side. Decided to put him on the wall too, kind of an expensive year, but who's complaining...This is the kill site photo:http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-...7_8260618_n.jpgThis is where we were going to load him up:http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-...5_1303020_n.jpgHope this is okay, gives a better view of his width:http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-...8_6860249_n.jpgDon't know what he weighed, we were guessing in the 180-190 range. A big deer for sure, but not gigantic.
lovebigbluegills
Very nice deer BB....nice rack, and the body looks huge.
bigbucks
Thanks, here's a couple of better pics of my first buck for comparison:http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-...9_3720973_n.jpghttp://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-...3_7920939_n.jpgAnybody got a good idea of what my bucks will score. This one has 4 tines all about 10", with a 16" spread & a lot of mass. The other buck doesn't have as much mass, his tines are 6-7"s, but he's 18" wide. The bodies of the two deer were very similar. DonBo
Yes, you are on a roll! Enjoy it while you can, not every year is gonna be like this one.Congrats!
sticknstring
Two great bucks right there - a great year! I'd say 125" on the first one and mid 140's on the 2nd. I'd be darn happy with either one right now.
Bear55
I'll give you 130 and 145 DD - great bucks and congrats on the great season. I'm hoping to have one of those myself one of these years.
bigbucks
The taxidermist gross scored the bow buck (the one in my avatar) at 152. The rifle buck he didn't actually score, but he said somewhere in the 140's.
Bear55
Nice! Sometimes you just have to see the rack in person to see how big they are.
winniewalleye777
I shot this buck saturday morning.
