durham1296
I have never fished old abe before and was wondering if anyone has had any luck there. Sounds like there are plenty of good fish to go after from what I have read. Also, is there a special bag limit because of the ceded territory? durham1296
I take it that not too many people fish this secton of the chippewa river. I caught 5 short eyes and a nice catfish. All of the fish were caught in 15' to 25' of water. Jig with leech and spinners with crawlers. It seemed that everytime I changed either the color or my setup I would catch one fish on it and that would be it. Usually you can more than one fish on the same lure. Further North
That's been a pattern for me all year, with the exception if one lure.
Cooter
I only fished it a handful of times - smallies, muskies, and catfish are what most people go after there. Have shot some carp there in the springtime. Plentiful little slimies in there too.
