Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Mom Outfished Me!

Recommended Posts

I couldn't be more proud.

She's 79 and loves to fish walleyes.

I took her once years ago. I love to tell the story that I took my Mom fishing once and she outfished me. The moral of the story? I took my Mom fishing ONCE.

Now we have lot's of opportunities to fish together and I cherish every one.

On this morning she caught the first, the biggest and the most. Gotta love it.

my mother loved to fish...and yes, there were times she put everyone to shame. not sure how this happens; however, she has now passed this ability to out fish me on to my daughter...he he.

we lost mom roughly two years ago to diabetes. the last lake i had her on with my dad, we now refer to as 'Grandma's Lake'.

thanks for sharing, and tell your mother...Way to go, and keep it up!

Thats typically what happens when I fish with Borch, he always beats me by a fish or two. Last time out I was ahead by a fish and before the night was over, he beat me by 3-4 eyes.

Nice to see you out with your mother.

My Mom was a hardcore fisherwoman...she out fished me a lot...more often than not in fact.

Yet...that's motivation to pay attention and see what she was up to...and in the end..that was it...she really was tuned in when fishing...she was always paying attention.

Mom's that fish..Ya-you-bet-cha-ya....they are AWESOME!!!

    •   I would bet some cash there is a ton of lady bugs that wintered in there!
    • Well i wasn't sure if its the glue in the plywood or what. Have they been known to do tge same to a cedar or redwood built house?
    •   Op, ran off to the Sportsman show with my son before posting the map that went with my post.    Satchmo, I didn't think you were saying that Wisconsin was doing anything better.  It's just a lot of folks hold them up as a better state for Deer when there are a lot of factors our DNR has to deal with that they don't.   Good thread. Lot's of close personal feelings being shared.
    •   Improvements for you are not necessarily improvements for everyone.     Who advised you to do that? I didn't hear anyone give out that advice.     No one called you a name at all. Seems like you are being a little dramatic today especially since it is the "meat hunter" label that is really disparaging these days.     So you want changes only where it will benefit your way of hunting?
    •   Ummmmmm, I think you should read your posts and Wanderer's posts again.....
    • Been a busy morning. Kettle if soup, venny neck roast for deer camp 2018, and Chinese chicken for supper tomorrow. Sure hope the photography passes leech approval.
    • I guess after 37 years of deer hunting all over this state and a few others I feel there are some improvements that could be made here at home and that’s about all I have left to say.   After my last two FA deer seasons in MN, I don’t know if I’ll buy another FA season tag for this state again.  And I’m not pouting about not seeing a big buck.  I’m just fed up with the public land circus, neighboring property owner disagreements and sub par results due to the chaos of that season.  It’s really starting to disgust me.  So, I’ll take your advice and leave the season up to the rest of you that are in bliss.     For the record: I wish you guys would get over the trophy hunter name calling to degrade others’ opinions how deer hunting could improve.  You’re right in saying it’s not all about the antlers but you’re wrong in simplifying the opposing views as just that.   Oh, and if I leave your season and just wanna stay content with an archery season, can ya’ll leave that alone and not pile in with crossbows?  Please?
    • Thank you all who came to the banquet!
    • brilliant deduction there Watson!!!!!!!!!
