Cecil
If we do $25 per person we dont need a permit.
bassfshin24
i didnt even know we needed a permit....i'm good for $25/person. we gonna try and do like a big fish pot or something?
Cecil
Yeah, over 25 boats or $25 per person, you need to have a permit from the DNR. We can see how many want to do a big bass pot.
Deitz Dittrich
I'm not sure Cecil, but I think the number of boats is 15 not 25.. but I could be wrong.. might want to look into it to be sure though.
Cecil
A person may conduct a contest without a permit provided any one of the following apply:There are 25 boats or less (replaces threshold based on number of participants)or 150 participants or less for ice fishing contests, entry fee is $25 or less, total prize value is $25,000 or lessI'm not too worried about more than 15 boats even
Cecil
Just found out that the twin cities marathon is on the 4th and they will be running around the lakes. We may need to move lakes or dates. Thoughts?
bassfshin24
im not really that familiar with the lakes around the area...it would be nice to fish something with not a lot boat traffic.
Cecil
I dont think traffic will be too bad anywhere that weekend... Could move to Oct 11th on same lake
bassfshin24
id really like to fish calhoun but oct. 4th is the only day i would be able to do a tourn. gotta do whatever works though
Cecil
Well, the race starts at 8am downtown, the route does go by there but I think if we shoot for 7:30 we will be fine. And the race is over well before we are off the water.
bassfshin24
im ok with 7:30 or even 7. Whatever works for everyone else.
Bullwinkle
Count me as a maybe on the 4th. I have to see if I am out of town hunting that weekend or not. I have only fished the lake once but I rumor has it that there are some pigs in it. I think that you should start as early as possible because of the parking issues. Just my opinion. TonkaBass
I like the 11th better because the 4th is duck opener!

oleballcoach
I would be in, but I have no boat. Are there teams? Or two man boats?
Cecil
Teams, I bet someone might have an open spot. We could do 3 to a boat too if we needed to. Still would be $25 a person.
