Farmers' Almanac predicts numbing cold this winter

The Farmers Almanac prediction is based on past years --- they say cold and a lot of snow for this winter ......

The National Weather Service is predicting a warmer than normal winter this year, based on the weather conditions and jet stream in the Pacific Ocean that they are seeing right now .....

Anybody know of a "tie-breaker" we can use laugh

Let it be super duper cold (and calm) the last few days of november and the first few days of december...after that let it stay above 25 smile

I'd rather we miss out on the snow, some of the places I would like to fish this winter are quite remote and do not receive visits from the plow.

If you watch where ladybugs spend winter you will know how harsh the weather will be. If they stay near an easy exit then it will be warm and if they go out of their way to find a sure warm spot then it will be cold. Best predictor in nature supposedly. I forsee a coat, gloves, boots, long underwear etc regardless.

Al Gore? Isnt he the guy who claimed to invent the worlds largest source of kiddee porn? Did the Farmers Almanac also forecast numbing cold this summer? I expect numbing cold in January. Its when you have it in August you gotta wonder whats up. I`d like to beleive in global warming but since its not even Labor Day and I had to talk my wife out of turning on the furnace already, I`m skeptical.
