chrysler acting up..

i have an 25hp chrysler motor and at wot it will run for a hundred yards then slowly die.. i changed plugs and checked fuel pump it pumps a little. it goes again when i choke it.. pumping the primer doesnt do anything..

If pumping the primer bulb while your running at WOT doesn't change anything then I would say it is a low fuel level in the carbs bowl. That be a float out of adjustment or dirty inlet valve(needle and seat). I'll go on to say that it(pumping the primer bulb while your running at WOT) could have eliminated a bad fuel pump and fuel lines.

If your pumping the primer bulb after it stalls and it won't start unless you choke it then you'll need a carb cleaning.

Either way the carb needs to be cleaned.

i cleaned it and it works good now.. gained 3 mph after cleaning. there was a cunk of fiber glass wedged in the needle seat..
