7 Tine Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 ME AND MY CATFISHING BUDDY FINALLY MADE IT THE MISSISSIPPI NEAR THE RED WING DAM 2 WEEKS AGO.WE CAUGHT A 34 POUND FLATHEAD,AND A 12 POUND FLATHEAD.IT WAS A BLAST!WHAT A FIGHT.I FOUND THAT STRETCH OF RIVER TO BE VERY NICE.THANKS,AND GOOD LUCK! proguide Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 My absolute favorite is troughs and or snags when the water is high. High yet stable boiling water holds fish on the snags and brings them actively feeding in the troughs. No guess work on hits only total commitment.In my opinion you can never go wrong with a snag especially one with some visible current hitting it.
