Thats because it is a flathead. The smallest flathead I've ever seen. Pretty bad when your stonecats are bigger than your flats....

They eat crawlers, fish flakes, pond pellets, bread, or whatever else I feel like throwing in there (or my daughters throw in there).

If you don't have a good biological filter, fedding the bait is not a good idea......but I think I got the biofilter working pretty good.

Bio-filter is the way to go like John said if your gonna feed them, but I will say this for food, and it re-affirmed my suspicions on this food....dont feed them hot dogs! They leave a slime/oil coating in/on your tank walls that is just awful.....makes you wonder whats in a hot dog wink.
