Picked up this little guy last week. Pretty much a noob to the agate world as I'm not hardcore, but this is my biggest to date.

Nice video Dark... I wonder how long it was sitting there before it was grabbed?

Does anyone know how long it takes nature to make an agate and how they are made? Just curious...

Agates are some of the oldest rocks on earth and the ones we find here in minnesota were moved by the glaciers from the bed of lake superior some 10-20 thousand years ago. The mn dnr web site has a good history lesson on minnesota agates.

Man that place is different now. I was there the other day, did ok about 2 1/2 of rocks i got.
