Jim Almquist
My plan was to put out a flower and get the little buggers to drink out of it but I did not realize that the type of flower I want is not carried by the flower shops in Cloquet. I did get a few to come in but it was the feeder the they wanted not the flower that I picked up. When I find the right flowers I will use a flash to stop the wings because even at 1/2000 of a second your only slowing these guys down This is the EASY shot Defend there territory- The sugar water

ShawnZ
Very nice collection of pleasing natural light hummer images. You are blessed to have this opportunity in your yard.
MN Shutterbug
Nice series. It was August 20 last year when I got my first hummer shots. 1/3200/sec. seemed to do the trick on the wings.
micpic
Jim, that 4th shot is just amazing! The color might be distorted somewhat but the capture in flight and eye contact just makes it look so natural. Nice work!Mike
