MIKE IN lINO III
I have a Murray 12.5 40" mower that won't turn over. Jumped on it this spring and it turned over maybe 1 1/2 times then went dead. It first sounded like a bad battery so that was replaced. I then replaced the following items: Starter, solenoid and ignition switch. Still nothing. I turn the key and nothing happens, completely dead. The ground looks good and I can jump the starter with the battery via cables and it turns over. I can jump the solenoid top two posts and the starter turns over. Seems like I am getting power but there has to be a short or something somewhere.I took all three safety switches off and tried to start it, nothing. I jumpered all safety switches, nothing. I checked the fuse and it is good. I'm at a loss. Model 40542Aserial 7318910472l00336MFG Date 97104Any help woul dbe appreciated. fishmon
Did you just unplug the saftey switches or unplug them and jump a wire across the terminals some need to be open and some closed it varies with design?
